Ultimate Top Gun Experience
Do you feel the need... the need for speed?
If so, then here is your chance to experience something akin to the adrenaline-fuelled life of Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer characters from the all-time popular movie Top Gun. We can’t promise you’ll have a romance with a beautiful female flight instructor, but you will get a taste of what’s it like to tail chase through the skies and sample some true 'head-to head' action with your opponent.
The first thing that will happen to you when you arrive at the airfield is being kitted out in proper Top Gun attire. You will go through a comprehensive pre-flight briefing where you will be throroughly instructed and prepared for the experience.
Before the flight two teams will be assembled and both of the teams will get to take part in practice session of flying, aerobatics and tail chase manoeuvres – just like you’ve seen in the film. Once you’re in the air you can also take the controls and guide your aircraft, try out the basic aerobatics tricks and even sample the tail chase with another plane! There will be special gun and smoke effects to make you feel like you’re truly chasing the baddies and fighting for your life up there. Nothing rocks your adrenaline boat quite like this. Your pilot will even throw in a formation loop before taking you safely back to the base.
You will be flying a special ultra light weight aircraft, the Extra 300, which is powered by a 300bhp Lycoming engine. Your flight lasts about 40 minutes, but the whole experience will take around 3-4 hours with instructions and preparations.
Your Top Gun experience will include:
- Comprehensive pre-flight briefing
- A full Top Gun attire for the flight
- Flying practice session with aerobatics and tail chase manoeuvres with the opportunity to take control
- 40 minutes flying-time with tail-chase experience

- All participants are required to complete a medical form before flying. Participants over the age of 55 most provide a letter from doctor confirming suitability to fly.

- Top Gun experience is subject to weather conditions.
- This experience takes mostly place on Fridays.
